New York Theological Seminary
As Co-Chairs of The Campaign for New York Theological Seminary, we want to add our warm welcome to you on this milestone evening, the Seminary’s Fifth Annual Urban Angels Awards Gala. In supporting this event, you are joining the Seminary’s circles of support that have been so vital to its past, and are so critical to its ever-expanding future.
Building on this important foundation, the Campaign represents the first major comprehensive fundraising effort for the Seminary. As Trustees of the Seminary, we know up close the value and significance of this higher education institution. We have seen up close a community of scholarship and caring, with passionate faculty and staff, dedicated students, a committed Board, and committed partner churches.We have seen up close how the Seminary seeks always to create ways to meet changing demands of our global society, while at the same time helping to transform lives and ministries. As with any worthwhile endeavor, this requires major financial support. The Campaign’s three major areas for giving are: Annual Support; Special Projects and Initiatives such as Ecologies of Learning and the Sing SingMPS program; and Endowment (to support Scholarships, Special Programs such as the Korean Ministries; and Faculty Chairs). We applaud the Seminary for taking this bold step into its widening future. And we thank The Rev. Dr. Paul Bradley, Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Development, and The Rev. Susan Switzer, Campaign-Manager, for their excellent leadership and creativity. We believe that such an institution is worth our own investment of time, energy,and financial resources, and we hope that you will join us in this journey.
