T. Richard Synder Named Academic Dean

     T. Richard Snyder, 73, a former New York Theological Seminary academic dean and professor emeritus of theology and ethics, is named academic dean at Bangor Theological Seminary, in Bangor Maine.

     Snyder, a Presbyterian minister of Lincolnville, will work part time from the seminary’s Bangor offices at Husson Universary. He gained his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill, and his Master of Divinity from Yale in New Heaven, Conn.

     Most recently he served as a visiting professor at American Baptist Seminary of the West in Berkeley, Calif.; founder and chairman of the Restorative Justice Project of the MidCoast, served on the boards of the MidCoast Forum on Foreign Relations and the United MidCoast Charities.
