About Our Speakers:

Dr. Stephen E. Bronner is currently Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California: Berkeley. Dr. Bronner is also Director of Global Relations and on the Executive Committee of the UNESCO Chair for Genocide Prevention at the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights, the Senior Editor of Logos, an interdisciplinary internet journal, is Chair of the Executive Committee of US Academics for Peace, and an advisor to Conscience International. He has taken part in missions of civic diplomacy in Darfur, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, and elsewhere, and has authored numerous books and articles on political theory, some which have been translated into a dozen languages.

Dr. Sarah Sayeed is Director of Community Partnerships, Rabbi Marshall T. Meyer Retreats for Social Justice, Muslim-Catholic Initiatives of the Interfaith Center of New York. Dr. Sayeed earned her Ph.D. in communications from the Annenberg School for Communications, and is a former assistant professor at Baruch College. Sarah is a board member of Women in Islam, Inc. and she has authored numerous articles about women, Islam, and public health.

Rabbi Daniel Brenner is the Chief of Education and Program for Moving Traditions, an organization that runs a spiritual mentorship program for teen boys and girls in partnership with over two hundred Jewish institutions across the United States. Previously he served as Vice President for the Birthright Israel Foundation, Director of the Center for Multifaith Education at Auburn Theological Seminary and senior fellow at CLAL- The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and in 2008 he was named by Newsweek Magazine as one of the fifty most influential rabbis in America.
