Master of Professional Studies (At Sing Sing Correctional Facility)

Since 1982, New York Theological Seminary has offered the Masters of Professional Studies (MPS) inside Sing Sing Correctional Facility. The program is the only one of its kind in theological education in North America. Over the past three decades more than 425 candidates have completed the program and earned their MPS degree.

The recidivism rate for graduates from the MPS program is under 10% over the entire life of the program. Graduates who have been released have continued to carry that transformative work forward in society outside the walls of the correctional system.

On Thursday, December 1, We gather and celebrate the 35th anniversary of the program by thanking the donors of the program, and highlighting the work of the Alumni.
