NYTS Congratulates MDiv Alumna Rev. Agnes McBeth for Receiving a NAACP Award

Rev. Agnes McBeth (MDiv 2013, and current DMin student) and her husband Deacon John McBeth, both of St. Philips Baptist Church, were among the recipients of  The William A. Morris Humanitarian Awards presented by The Staten Island Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), at its Annual Freedom Fund Luncheon and 28th Annual William A. Morris Humanitarian Awards on Saturday, September 26, 2015.

The Humanitarian award recognizes individuals in the Staten Island community who have demonstrated commitment to the fundamental principles of the NAACP to combat racial discrimination and personify humanitarian characteristics. This year’s celebration highlighted 106 years of struggle for the nation’s oldest, strongest, most revered and respected civil rights organization and the 90th anniversary of the Staten Island branch.
