Hrayr Jebejian Awarded Ambassador of the Motherland Medal

Armenia, July 2014: On July 15, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received General Secretary of the Bible Society in the Gulf, Dr. Hrayr Jebejian and his wife, Dr. Arda Jebejian, in her office in Yerevan.
During the meeting were discussed the upcoming centenary of the Armenian Genocide in 2015, the importance of meeting the needs of the Armenian Syrian refugees in Armenia, the preservation of western Armenian and the challenges facing Armenians in the diaspora.
At the end of the meeting and in the presence of the office staff and the media, the RA Minister of Diaspora presented Hrayr Jebejian with the Ambassador of the Motherland medal in appreciation of his invaluable contribution to the preservation of the Armenian identity, culture and language, instrumental role in ecumenical relations and vital input in the enrichment and enhancement of the cultural, religious and social aspects of the diaspora communities worldwide.
Expressing his gratitude to Mrs. Hakopyan, Jebejian underlined the Minister’s active role in boosting the Homeland-Diaspora relations and said, “Diaspora Armenians always feel that you are doing a unique job and that you are greatly appreciative of our service to our communities. It is great that we can all work together towards the advancement, strengthening and development of the Motherland Armenia and the Armenian diaspora communities abroad.”
