If you’re the sort of person who wants to go hyper-local, to drill down and focus-in on a micro-community in East Harlem, New York, in order to be part of social justice ministries & empowerment, then we want to meet you!
WE WANT TO CREATE NEW OFFSHOOT COMMUNITIES MEETING AROUND SHARED MEALS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS ACROSS OUR 20 BLOCK NEIGHBORHOOD
This is a ministry position suited to anyone who has some skills in community-building, and would be able to commit to 10 months (October 2017-July 2018) working with our church. We are extending fellowship, establishing new relationships, finding co-conspirators in new justice initiatives. We are living the hope, following Jesus out into the community.

All applicant must make sure that the complete application reaches us by 12 Noon Sunday September 10th. Interviews will be held Tuesday September 12th and Wednesday September 13th (evenings)

Benefits
This is a W9 Self-Employed Assignment where you will be asked to invoice at the month end for the hours worked in that month. You will be part of a small but growing church where we want to act in our approach to employment as a Worker-Cooperative and respecting the contribution of each member of the team.
Level of Language Proficiency
Spanish would be an advantage. You will be part of a three person team and expected to design the project around your skills area. Others in the team speak fluent Spanish as well as English.
