Dr. Edison O. Jackson appointed Interim President of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida

Dr. Edison O. Jackson, a member of the NYTS Board of Trustees and graduate of the NYTS  Master of Divinity degree program, has been appointed Interim President of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Bethune-Cookman University was founded in 1904 by Mary McLeod Bethune and is related to the United Methodist Church.  Dr. Jackson, who is an ordained elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, recently retired as President of Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York.  You can read more about his appointment at  http://www.cookman.edu/newsInfo/newsroom/newsReleases/2011/PR050812.html
