On March 16, 2012 New York Theological Seminary is hosting an event to all clerics, faculty members, students, public health professionals, nurses, physicians, government officials and others who are interested in exploring the intersection of faith and health. This event is a collaboration of the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute, Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health, New York Theological Seminary, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

A Faith & Health Forum to Explore the Intersection of Faith and Health

A one day gathering of leaders of faith, academic institutions and governmental agencies designed to explore the alignment of faith and health and its impact on health outcomes. The forum intends to foster the bidirectional sharing of knowledge, identify models, tools, and practices designed to strengthen and sustain collaborative relationships to improve health outcomes.

  • Recognize linkages between the intersection of faith and health and how faith beliefs impact health outcomes
  • Identify strategies to develop and maintain sustainable partnerships between academic and public health institutions to improve public health outcomes

This event is open to all faith leaders, public health practitioners, faculty members with responsibilities for curricula development or collaborative community relationships, students, nurses, physicians, government officials and others who are interested in exploring the intersection of faith and health and improving health outcomes.
