Jin Hee Han teaches in the areas of Biblical Studies, with responsibilities for First Testament, Exegesis, and Hebrew language. He earned his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary. The author of Daniel’s Spiel: Apocalyptic Literacy in the Book of Daniel, he is the author of a number of articles and a contributor to the Anchor Bible Dictionary, the Encyclopedia of Biblical Reception, and other major reference works in the field. An ordained clergyperson of the Presbyterian Church (USA), he has deep love for the life of the parish and has led numerous workshops and retreats for many churches across the country. He has also been involved in the development of Bible study resources for churches with the United Methodist Publishing House and Westminster/John Knox Press. He is an active member of the Society of Biblical Literature and currently serves on the steering committees of Performance Criticism and Lexicography. His major research interests include reception history, cognitive linguistics, performance criticism, cultural studies, and philology in ancient Near Eastern languages and literature.
